TIPS FROM SATOSHI

Sigh… why delete a wallet instead of moving it aside and keeping the old copy just in case? You should never delete a wallet.

The root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that’s required to make it work. The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust.

The nature of Bitcoin is such that once version 0.1 was released, the core design was set in stone for the rest of its lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is behind RBC?

Jed Powers, founder

Redding Bitcoin Center is founded by Jed Powers, a retired Project Manager for a Bay Area mechanical contractor firm. After spending countless hours learning about how Bitcoin works and how important it is for present and future financial planning, Jed wants to help others do the same.

What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is new, digital money which is ultimately limited to 21 million, making it the most rare asset. It has value because people use it for instant payments, as a store of value and to move value around the world.

Why should I learn about Bitcoin?

Many consider Bitcoin as a transformative technology which will have an even bigger impact than the internet had on our lives. If Bitcoin becomes a global monetary standard, many economists anticipate a new renaissance to come about. Whether you are a skeptic, a big believer or someone who just thinks it’s good to learn more, we believe you won’t regret studying for a little while.

Where is RBC located and what are the opening hours?

We are located in Redding, CA.

Our opening hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM. By Appointment Only

If you are not able to come in at these times, please send us a message and we can arrange a special tour for you.

I don't know anything about Bitcoin can I still join?

Yes. There is no need to know anything about Bitcoin or technology in general.

Bitcoin is for everyone and at the Redding Bitcoin Center we welcome you regardless of age, culture, race, career, age, gender, wordlview or income.

We are happy to guide you and help you make sense of Bitcoin no matter what level of technical skill you may or may not have.

By the way, trial and error is still one of the best ways to learn new things, so don’t be affraid of making mistakes.

Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?

Nobody knows. Therefore we tend to agree that we’re all Satoshi if we use the Bitcoin protocol.
